In keeping with its focus on results, The Health Foundation has commissioned four evaluations which culminated in the Formative Evaluation Results, the Evaluation Report for The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts: Analyses of Their First Five Years of Grantmaking (2000-2005), the Evaluation Report for The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts: Analyses of Its First Ten Years of Grantmaking (2000-2010), and Insights on the Health Care and Health Promotion Synergy Initiative Model of Collaborative Problem-Solving.

These reports analyzed the impact of the the Foundation’s three grant funding avenues: the Health Care and Health Promotion Synergy Initiative, the Activation Fund and Board Designated grants and expenses.

An evaluation of the Foundation’s grantmaking concluded that the Foundation has made a positive impact on the region’s health, particularly by addressing oral health, mental health, homelessness and hunger.
