Jennie Blake, M.S.W., Vice President for Programs


Jennie Blake, M.S.W. joined the Foundation in May 2021, initially serving as Senior Program Officer.  Jennie has primary responsibility for the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic grantmaking agenda, as set by the Board, which includes providing technical assistance to applicants and grantees, facilitating the application process, monitoring grants, and assisting in assessing the Foundation’s impact.

Jennie came to the Foundation with experience working on both sides of the philanthropic sector in the Atlanta area.  Most recently, she served as Senior Director for the Cox Foundations, which administers the James M. Cox Foundation, the charitable arm of Cox Enterprises, a privately-owned communications and automotive services company, as well as multiple affiliated family foundations.  Prior to that role, Jennie worked as a fundraising consultant for nonprofits with Coxe Curry & Associates.

She has a Master’s in Social Work degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia.
